Andreas Hauss - Founder
Mr. Hauss, has introduced Life Settlements to southern Europe since 2004 as President and Co-Founder of a European life settlement investment advisory firm. With a wide network among providers, fund managers and structuring entities, he has supervised the coordination of revolutionary tailor made life settlement vehicles on behalf of institutional investors, creating significant market entries in Europe. As a well experienced lecturer in the industry he decided to found ISLSP or the benefit of investors and the growth of the industry.
George Polzer - Co-Founder and President
For over 20 years, Mr. Polzer has specialized in entrepreneurial management, high-tech and financial services business start-ups, operations, sales and business development leadership. His focus for the past 5 years has been working with financial and investment professionals on business expansion opportunities to offer alternative investments for Self-directed IRAs including real estate and a special expertise in life settlement investments for highly capitalized, accredited investors.
His professional career began at Bechtel where he was responsible for launching Bechtel Software’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institute in London, UK. His areas of expertise include software development, advanced IT business solutions and high-tech strategic marketing. In 2000, George's internet software company designed and built the industry's first browser-based sales collaboration and lead tracking system. Mr. Polzer completed his Master of Science in Business Administration work at San Francisco State University with a focus on Business Information and Computing Systems, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California.
Dr. Wai-Keung Tang - Executive Director
As President of Kappa Life, a consulting firm that specialized in mortality arbitrage trading (life settlement and its derivative), Dr. Tang’s focus has been on formulating the best practices for the Life Settlement industry. He was a managing partner of Alpha-Value Asset Management. Alpha Value has developed and delivered several short-duration and mid-duration asset based lending strategies in life settlement assets.
In 2006, backed by Plainfield Asset Management, Dr. Tang co-founded Caldwell Funding and its affiliates to engage in the mortality arbitrage business. Through Caldwell Funding and its affiliates, Dr. Tang managed a more than $300 million portfolio of mortality arbitrage assets. He began his investment banking career as quantitative analyst at the equity derivative trading desk of UBS.
While in Seabury Insurance Capital, he successfully raised $63 million through the securitization of a life settlement bond, which was granted aa- from A.M. Best.
Dr. Tang holds a Ph.D. in elementary particle physics from Columbia University. |
